Orissa also known as Odisha is a state of India, located on the east coast of India, by the Bay of Bengal. It is the modern name of the ancient nation of Kalinga, which was invaded by the Indian Emperor Ashoka in 261 BC. The modern state of Orissa was established on 1 April 1936 as a province in British India, and consists, predominantly of Oriya speakers. 1 April is therefore celebrated as Utkal Divas (Orissa Day).
Orissa is the ninth largest state by area in India, and the eleventh largest by population. Oriya is the official and most widely spoken language. Orissa is subject to intense cyclones also known for its communal riots.

At present there are 142 Field Workers working in 62 Web Centers, and reaching 331 Villages.

There are 150 Bible Study Groups and 2117 Baptized Believers. The believers are worshiping in 95 Worship Groups. There are 52 constructed churches.

Parlakhemundi office 5th Year

On 4th April, 2005 we opened the mission office at Parlakhemundi.That time there were only 11 workers but now there are 66 workers, we had only 7 Church buildings but today we have 24 church buildings and 12 church buildings are under construction. We praise God for His marvelous things.

Bro. Galiyad Mondol from Adamguda village was a drunkard. He has done all type of evil works and he didn’t believe Jesus as his savior. His son fell in sickness and they consulted many Doctors but no medicine could heal him. So he worried about his son. During that time Bro.Dillon Raita visited his family and prayed for his son. The God has done a miracle for the child.
Praise the Lord! Now the whole family accepted Jesus as their personal savior. Uphold this family in your prayers that they may grow in the Lord

Warriors of faith! 

Worker Manase Sabar who proclaims the gospel in the Arsing Guda field has found an opening among the youth. On one end, these budding believing youngsters are opposed by their parents; on the other, they fervently love Jesus! These young hearts which listen to the Word of God preached in the corner of the streets through megaphones find shelter in the love of Calvary. They are consoled and blessed through the messages and songs! The Holy Spirit has started working in Arsing Guda. Praise be to God! - Rayagada Worker

Firm Believers!

The Lorda mission field people of Gajapati district in Orissa have won their test of faith! In order to create problems in the ministry that was started in 2006 and to oppose the new life of the believers, people from other faith thronged against them! But the Holy Spirit protected His people! He enabled our worker Andreya Bhuyan to courageously speak before the village leader and the elders! The believers held the weapon of prayer when people came roaring, "We will destroy your houses". Though the village leader was from other faith, he did not permit them to touch the children of God!
