Two types of survey are done before starting the church planting ministry in an area.

People Group Survey gives information about geographical location, population, culture, social structure, faith and belief of particular People Group and their receptivity to the Gospel.

Field Survey (also called Village Survey) provides complete data about a given geographical area or village

The objectives of the survey are…

to know the spiritual needs of the people,

to understand the needs of the community and social needs of the villagers,

to find out if any other Christian organization or church is functioning, to maintain comity among other churches and missions,

to be faithful to the calling of reaching the un reached places (Romans.15:20) to place church planters in a strategic place with growth potential.
